About Lindsay Williams



      Lindsay Williams was born October 5, 1986 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She is an only child, and spent the first five years of her life among several states.  Her father was in the army.  From birth to age five, her family lived in Oklahoma, New Jersey, Wisconsin, and then moved back to Oklahoma when she was in the first grade.  She went to Steed Elementary School in Midwest City, until her mother and father divorced when she was in the third grade.  She and her mother moved from Midwest City to Moore, and she attended Kingsgate Elementary.  When Lindsay finished fifth grade, she and her mother moved closer to Fairview Elementary.  She attended her sixth grade year there. 


Lindsay went to Moore West Junior High, and was a member of several extracurricular clubs.  She was the President of the Spanish Club, a member of the National Honor Society, Drama Club, Honor Choir, and she ran track and field.  Westmoore High school was her next stop.  She was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Show Choir, Honor Choir, Speech and Debate, and Stomp Team.  Lindsay participated is several school musicals and talent shows, and enjoyed showcasing her artistic side.  She participated in the Miss Black Oklahoma City pageant, and was crowned Miss Black Oklahoma City 2005.  Lindsay went on to participate in the Miss Black Oklahoma Pageant, and was the fourth runner up.  This achievement earned a full scholarship to Langston University.  She graduated from Westmoore High school as a 4.0 GPA honor student in 2005.

Instead of accepting the scholarship to Langston University, Lindsay decided to attend the Oklahoma City Community College.  She began as a Criminal Justice major, with goals of becoming a law student.  While attending, she decided to change her major to Journalism.  After a while, she realized that she wanted to join the two-year registered nurse program.  She began taking the prerequisite nursing courses.  During her studies, she became pregnant.  While pregnant she decided to follow her true dreams and change her major to Theater Arts, and gave birth to her first son, Ethan, two semesters before graduation.  Lindsay completed her associate’s degree in Theater Arts, and graduated from Oklahoma City Community College in 2009.

Lindsay began working for local Oklahoma City radio station Power 103.5, while attending the University of Oklahoma that fall.  She entered OU, in the bachelor’s program for the science of criminal justice.  Lindsay worked as a news broadcaster for the radio station for about nine months, before realizing that reporting the news was not what right for her.  Lindsay began working for a healthcare billing company, called Intermedix Corporation.  She worked for the company for almost two years, and ended her time there when she became pregnant with her youngest son.  While attending OU, Lindsay became gave birth to her second son, Eli.  She attended OU for two semesters, and then decided she was truly not interested in pursuing Criminal Justice. 

Lindsay transferred to Mid-America Christian University in 2012.  She is, currently, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Public Relations.  Lindsay plans to earn her bachelor’s degree, and then work in the field of Public Relations.  While working, she plans to attend law school, and then become an entertainment lawyer.
